- The blue circle is the icon of Diabetes Type 1, because I'm one;
- The ribbon is a sign of strength;
- The combination of the circle, ribbon and the blood drop is the sign of Diabetes Awareness Day, November 14th;
- The chemical structure is the simplified one of Serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is in many ways involved in your health, like mood, sleep, and digestion;

- The aperture is because I love photography. It's the part in the camera that determines how much light gets in;
- The coffee beans are there because I love coffee. I've also worked for different companies that sold a lot of coffee. For example, I was store manager at Starbucks for three years;
- The skyline is of my birth- and hometown Deventer, The Netherlands. The original line-art was created by Egbert.EGD, a known artist and entrepreneur;
- The waves beneath the skyline represent the river IJssel, but because of my love for reggae, the waves have the colors red, yellow, and green;
- The music notes are the first tones of a famous song, for two decades my ringtone. Do you know the song?
A bassplayer will know ... ;
- The ones and zeros represent two special dates. To be less distracting, they're converted to binary;
- The bit mysterious logo is recognised by nerds immediately, definitely if they're a Bruce Willis-fan;
- My brother knows ...
